Anyone know any good places to recommend buying a used left hand drive vehicle? Pref a 4x4 eg shogun/pajero/surf/4runner etc.
any contacts in Germany could prove useful as well (from what i've seen france looks expensive??)

Hi pt
I just bought a Civic in Krautland, 15.6% below list price.
You can get very good deals there.
Once the vehicle is exported and registered in your country, you do not have to go back to Germany or anything like that.
The mobile site is quite good, or also the autoscout.
I speak some German, let me know what you're after and I see what I can do.
If you look for a Jeep type of thing, pick "Gelandewagen" in vehicle type.

Cheers claudius,
have to say i was amazed at the number of American cars for sale in germany, not just older stuff sold on from air bases etc, but new mercury's, dodges etc! Theres loads!
am ideally looking for a 7 seater Mitsubishi Pajero.
I started out by purchasing a german auto magazine and a french one. The french cars do seem to cost more money so will pass on those...
Will just have to german and then 'import' it.

i've seen mobile.de and have also used http://www.auto-mobiles.de but my knowledge of German used cars is that they require registering back in Germany and a strict mot type test every two years. I would rather prefer a uk registered car to avoid registration issues, also my German isnt quite good enough to figure out all the text (and google translaters arent that great).
as for france i'd already said they were a tad expensive from what ive seen on the french car sites.....
