Unlimited Freeserve - what is going on?
#1
Before Christmas, it usually took me a good 20 mins to log on. Then as if by magic over the holiday period, I logged on straight away EVERYTIME even during the busy evenings.
Now from the 2nd Jan onwards, it is back to the usual 40 tries before I can get logged on!!
Did freeserve put on more lines during Christmas and then remove them???
Has anyone else noticed this?

Probably just a change in useage pattern.
With people away visiting relatives or on holiday and the rest sat in front of the TV eating for England useage was probably down (personally, I just did the eating bit ).
Like FreeSwerve, BT Internet have an unlimited access product coming out that doesn't use SurfTime.
If the new BT FRIACO platform works, more ISPs should be able offer a sustainable flat fee service and spread 'the load' more.
Chris.

I'm fed up with Freeserve Unlimited Time too. If its not being able to connect on a nightime, its really poor / slow performance.
I think I'll pay a little more and get BT OpenWorld along with ADSL. (£40 / month?)
