Where to buy a really cheap car from?
#1
I am living in Preston at the mo, but my office is about a 40min drive. I am looking for a cheap car to bat up and down the motorway in. Pref diesel, either an estate or a van. Does anyone know of any cheap car places around. I'm talking sub £600 on this.

Chaz, i've got a Cavalier 1.8 GL on a H-plate 110k, some history new tyres all round, T + T for £300...........interested??
If you want a newer car then my housemate has a Rover 100 kensington for sale on an N-plate only 50K he was looking for about £800 but if ur genuinely interested then i'm sure we could all come to an arrangement!
PS I live in the South!

Chaz,
The other big auction house is Manheim...
I think the nearest to you is Old Trafford! From memory their fees were lower than BCA (but its been a a little while since I've bought anything).
It might be worth spending a bit more (say £1000-1500) as the chances are it'll cost you less in the longer run and you'll easily get you're money back at time of sale if you get a straight one Then a decent Mondeo/Cav should be in budget!
