use the ifra red port on your phone to download the numbers to your laptop or PC with IR port. Nokia/Ericsson provide a free software app for this on the net, or you can get it with a new phone on CDROM. It's a lot cheaper than buying a data cable!

thats one of the problems i found also when its on my desk i just shove things around so it allways gets knocked out of line but on the cable it still works or you could use blue tooth best of both worlds really

for blue tooth it would work anywhere withing 10 meters of the pc so stick it in a draw and it will find the mobile, its quite fast but bluetooth for pc can be quite expencive about 90 but have seen a bluetooth dongle for about 35
