Now i know they are illegal, but they do work well apparently, which is why they are illegal. However a thought just occurred to me. They may work when a laser gun is pointed directly at you but do they work with camera vans on the side of the road, at a slight angle to the transponder positioned by the number plate??

Also does anyone know which websites are safe to purchase these things from? Im always abit dodgey about buying of the net.

Thanks for any info.

Scrappydoo,

try

www.TradingDirect.co.uk

I recently embarked on a 'group buy' (For the boys in work) of S5's and these came up with the cheapest price.... £260 each inc VAT/Del...
They seem quite good to deal with...(my experience anyway)

Think the chaps name is Steve..

Still driving the BMW

Which are the best though guys? Ive been doing a bit of reading and i think the best models are:-

Bell Target LRC 100 Laser Diffuser
&
Snooper SLD 920 Laser Diffuser

I think a few people on scoobynet have bought one of them and i would like to know their opinion of them before i spend the money on one. Have you been alerted by your device yet and had time to slow down before getting done or an NIP?

Regards

Scrappy,

There was a thread around the 12th October on this very Subject....

Burr and a few members hot tailed it upto Yorkshire way, all met up in a service station and went through many of the detectors and jammers available..... someone had a speed gun and the likes...

I know this as I was up in yorksire that weekend, but didn't check the web until I got back....

Hope this helps...

scrappydoo - go for the Bell Target, trust me on this one
we did a test & I was the only guy fitted with a bell, the rest did a group buy on the snooper.
We found that the detector on the bell was more sensitive, as I had mine mounted under the number plate behind the lower scoop on my classic....it worked 100% on testing with a laser gun held by west yorkshire's finest men in blue
the snoopers were mounted visible, ie, on the front grill & they did initially have some problems with them (even though you get 2 detector units with the snooper).

anyway, if you want to speak to me regarding this, then mail me as per mail addy & I'd be happy to help you.
