Did anyone just see this on 4?
Amazing guy. Strange that he and Lauda were friends as they were so chalk and cheese. Best TV programme I've seen for the last few months. Sort of brings it home how sh1te Formula 1 is these days.
Anyway - does anyone know the music tracks that were played throughout the programme.

The only and I mean only advantage of F1 now is the safety aspect.
I also saw that programme earlier in the year and it really does bring it home how dull and boring F1 is nowadays.

Takes me back to the good old days when you could actually get close to the drivers and teams. James was always posing around, cigarette in hand and girls hanging onto his sides.
You could stay around after the races and get right up to the cars as well.
Not now though.

I remember a great quote from Murray Walker -- apparently when Murray used to say "and James is outside the commentary booth looking at the far side of the circuit", James was outside smoking a spliff ...

Only GP my wife has ever been to was Brands '76 & she remembers it fondly - didn't turn her into a petrolhead though
Me? Well I was still at school
One of the Pink Flloyd songs from that era was recently released by a black rapper, who did a well good cover version.
Also Supertramp have a cover version in the Indie charts ATM

I know one thing...Murray certainly did'nt like Lord Hesketh
LOL
He was a cool guy, but just went downhill once he retired - he just could'nt hack normal life.
Even Murray said he must have bedded literally thousands of women!
Can you imagine getting into Formula 1 like he did, these days - he did'nt even go to a motor race until he was 17!
