Yet more crime on my Ferrari - a lesson on roadside parking I think...

Bros, doesn't the post say that it's in Barnes in London? The cost of a garage would cost about the same as our house in Yorkshire
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Not sure I'd leave a Ferrari on the street, but it's ****e that someone nicked your cover. That's only of use to another Ferrari owner, so keep an eye on the classifieds and any ferrari versions of scoobynet?

Having tried to find a garage near me when I had the TVR, I can sympathise. It near to bloody impossible to find garages in London. I ended up getting rid of the TVR cos the garage was so far away from the house I hardly ever drove it. Now the poor old scoob has to suffer the rough and tumble of street life, but at least it's not a soft top.

Just seen a lockup garage to rent in Putney SW15 for £65pcm. Got to better than parking on the street, though obviously adds £800 to the annual running costs of the Ferrari.

I think a lockup is definitely the way to go... but you're right chiark - I'd be looking at >£1k a year plus the inconvenience of getting to it, just to have it behind a locked door. Crazy thing is that there are plenty more valuable cars on my road including porkers and tvrs - all without covers too.
Ho hum....lesson learnt I think - always listen to fellow scoobynetters advice

Sorry to hear that
I used to keep my Scoob on the road and that was in HULL!!!!! JESUS! Luckily nothing happened. I had and still have a Covercraft cover for it but I never used it on the road. Too many scrutters around unfortunately.
I would have to agree with the comments above, I just could not bring myself to leave a decent car on the road these days, let alone your beautiful 348. Hope things improve mate.

Returning home tonight, I discovered that someone has stolen my brand new covercraft car cover from outside my house on the car. They used sharp instruments to cut around the padlock keeping the cover secure underneath the body. Why would someone take a Ferrari 348 tailored cover - particularly on a quiet residential street in Barnes - until now an area I thought was one of the safest in London? It bemuses me what someone would do with such a low volume production Ferrari cover - spite? Jealousy? Surely not to use or sell on? It was a blank boring grey dirty looking thing...
Rant over - sorry folks, very peed off as I wish I had kept the P1 these days - after someone driving into the side of it and not leaving a note, now this after 3 months, I think the people who said don't keep a nice car on the roadside are right, but I still can't believe there are so many low lifes in the UK today.
Fiat punto here I come...
