ralph fiennes appears a bit crap compared to the original "manhunter" albino killer... now HE was scary...blind woman scene anyone?? broken arm and minivan?

yep agreed chrome now thats what a pyscho *should* look like!
The guy who played him (Tom Noonan) has popped up in a couple of other films (namely Heat) and he doesn;t have quite the same impact!

Watched Silence on C5 last night. Still a wicked movie. Apparently, the scene where Lecter does the speech with the fava beans was the first one they filmed. It wasn't rehearsed and by the end of it the crew were completely shocked by Hopkins interpretation of the character. It was right on the money so they printed that first take.
I will see Red Dragon at the cinema for the full effect but will go in expecting a lesser film than Manhunter. Can only be pleasantly surprised.
