yep - nice place m8. stayed at the calabash Hotel. Some nice and some not so nice people about. Great sailing roundabout with the grenadines.
Just lay on the beach for 2 weeks & did sod all apart from a trip into town. Great harbour but too much Carib beer did the damage.

Hi m8
Wrote a big long msg & deleted it before sending.
Anyway.
Great place to go. Ignore the burnt out tanks on the runway from the yanks.
St George the capital is a great place to visit and see the spice market when you;re there. Most of the people are great but there are some ***** - usually on Grand Anse Beach. If your sailing you should be based in the Lance aux Epines area. If not then make for there as coves, scenery etc fantastic. I sail a lot and this has to be one of the best locations in the world.
Head off to the Greanadines for the majority of your cruising. Gorgeous. The shark pool on Union Is is a must. Me & the missus will be going backat some point as we liked it there a lot.
Cheers

Oh and buy the local papers for a read while you're there. You'll see why

Yep - Me and the missus spent a month on holiday in Grenada.
A bit too long for me. Island is unlike most other in Caribbean. Very Lush - Nice interior, Waterfalls and lovely cool pools beneath for swimming in. Also has a really strange kind of grass that was planted by the Slave owners of yesteryear. If a slave escaped and ran through the fields the grass would curl up into a tight ball for hours. All the Owner sort had to do in the morning was to follow the trail left through the fields.!!!
Also has some pretty pukka cashew trees - If you like that sort of thing !!
