***AWESOME Marketing?!***Lucky Star "Film"***
#1
Hi All,
Has anyone seen the new "film ad" for Lucky Star!?!? WOW! Great looking "film", top, v cool actor, Benicio Del Toro and a seriously cool car - Merc SL 55 AMG (I think that's the one). I have seen this on TV and at the cinema and thought that is a must see film. I checked out the website and that was also veryb slick (trailers and wallpapers).
I honestly thought it was a film. I have now been told that it is in fact a Merc ad campaign! JESUS! How smooth is that!?! IS this true and how many other people have been duped by, IMHO the coolest campaign ever!?!?!?!?
Mossman - seriously impressed with Merc's marketing

very clever but i didnt remember specifically that it was a merc in the trailer so is it good advertising?.
looks like they may have been inspired by Swordfish and the amount of coverage the cerbera got.

This was a campaign from a while ago, they have a web site where you can watch all the films and 'making of' videos. It's great entertainment and I for one would have loved to have worked on it. But if it was a great campaign I'd remember the address.

Its very good and I remembered the merc in it very well so they got me. Lucky enough my mate had seen it on the news so he told me about it the next day after Id see it at the pics. Im just gutted there is no film as it looked great - perhaps its a double bluff and they may make one - heres hoping
This is like the 4th thread talking about it so you did well to miss it all!
BTW the car in Swordfish was a Tuscan and they kept the UK plates on it to give the car that foreign look. I think TVR flew 3 over - 2 cars for driving stunts and 1 with a special shell to show the bullet holes in the fibre glass.
Simon.
