Going to Gran Canaria, anyone been?!

Yep, went there a few years ago, 2nd visit to GC, pretty good resort, fair few clubs etc, Maspalomas and Puerto Rico are better resorts and have a bigger clubbing scene, however, Playa is a popular destination for the gay community, and most of the good clubs cater for their needs
. Puerto and Maspalomas are only 10mins away in a taxi, so not to far to travel.

Been to Tenerife, Kos, Kavos and all the rest but trying Gran Canaria this year with a mate. Place called Playa de Englese IIRC.
Im 24 and looking for a bit of lady action, and a good bar type scene, is it going to have it? The hotel is a 5 star and looks rather nice, but 4 miles from the town. Need to know if its any good before I confirm it.

Unfortunately that area is full of Krauts. And Im not joking.
The bars and shops are separated into complexes, and the closest thing you'll get to England is the Irish complex. I went with the missus a few years back and didnt enjoy it at all.
Ref the maspalomas dunes. We were told to stay away unles you liked watching George M**hael types playing with themselve.

Oh year, there was some Pratt who thought he was Lian Gallagher, but homefully he's gone home now.

Unfortunately the weather is crap at the moment in the Canaries 
We are off to Lanzarote soon, and the weather for the next 5 days is Cloudy, Cloudy, Suny Int, Cloudy, Cloudy Max temp 23, Min 17
Hope it books up soon as it has cost us £2k - could have bought a trackday car for that
