Default EBay thieves

Hi all
Sold something on eBay last week not talking a great deal of money but I get a message saying he not received it yet so I say wait it might come tomorrow
Low and behold I get a message today saying not received
Intelligently I always use signed for and keep the receipt
Low and behold it was signed for yesterday with his family name

I very rarely sell on eBay and that is why
But no doubt he will start a not received complaint

Scumbaging chancers you've got proof of delivery so you might want to send him a screen shot with a mild reference to fraudulent behaviour

You think that's bad bought a set of coilpacks of damanoche and they were faulty. Spoke to them on the phone and they said to return them. Sent them back tracked and signed for. They refused to sign for them to avoid a refund.

I've used Royal Mail signed for in the past and sometimes, even though the item is delivered, no signature is taken. The buyer immediately knows that they can claim it wasn't delivered and claim a refund and get the item for free, happened to me twice now

I bought a 'as new' dewalt 18v drill a couple of years ago, it turned up as obviously used. I tried it and the batteries were terrible, even worse than the ones on the Dewalt drill I was replacing.

I complained and the seller said the batteries needed a 'service charge' I asked what the was. He said leave them in the charger overnight! WTF! Once the charger senses they are charged, it stops charging!

I asked for a refund and the seller told me to send it back. I thought he was being arsey, so I took photos while packing it back up and sent it 'signed for'. He signed for it, but then said the box had bricks in it and no drill, charger or batteries!

Paypal were on his side and asked me to send the correct item back to obtain a full refund. I sent the photos to the paypal dispute and paypal refunded me

I also bought a 'new' tablet with a certain spec (32gb, 2.3 gingerbread), when it arrived it was 16gb and 2.1 eclair software, it had some photos of a female and a child (fully clothed) that were probably the previous owner!

The seller gave me an address to send it back to, I sent it back 'signed for'. The seller said it hadn't been delivered. Royal fail said it had been signed for. I put in a claim for a lost parcel, but royal fail said the address that was on the parcel didn't exist (even though it had been delivered to that address and signed for)! I argued that if the address didn't exist, it would have been returned to me. Royal fail didn't pay out

Seller didn't pay out due to 'not recieving item'

So that cost me £120 to recieve a 2nd hand tablet and send it back

I didn't get a refund or the items back. Paypal sided with the seller cause they said they never received it but after a lot of phone calls actually got talking to the driver that tried to deliver the package and it was him that told me that they refused to sign for it.

I bought a trunki suitcase for me little one and it turned up without locks and straps, I wanted to send it back as it was not as described, seller refused. Opened claim through paypal but they were in favour of the seller somehow so the next thing was to call my bank and ask for a charge back, got my money back within few hours. Seller or paypal never contacted me again abut this case.

Tell him your brother is in the army at a training camp in his area. You have asked him to pop in with his mate to try and sort the problem out David

I've had the same problem in the past. I now only sell with a buyer to collect policy as it saves the hassle.

One of my friends sold a laptop on ebay and the buyer eventually sent it back as faulty for a full refund. When my friend opened it back up he found half the parts removed as it had been scavenged for spares by the buyer. He never did get resolution for this. The buyer is always right!!!

That's awful

Like taking car garage in Zim for something minor only to find later on they've flushed out all the good bits for older bits.

100%.
I've sold a good number things on ebay, bought probably more, and thankfully my experiences have always been good.
I do try to protect myself with avoiding those with negative feedback

...and this is why I don't bother with eBay. PayPal do not offer any protection if you come across someone truly unscrupulous, whether you are a seller or buyer.
