Default Chicane - The sum of its parts

The new CD (or download for you modernists) from Chicane is rather good as is nearly everything he does.

Still not back to the heady heights of Far from the maddening crowd, but comfortably better than most other fodder available right now.

Give it a try if you like his previous work.

Offshore is one of my favourite oldschool tracks, Saltwater is pretty good too.

Fantastic! >

Almost all their numbers (that I've had and heard) are cool as.

Will look out for their new work.

Some of the best music I have ever heard has been Chicane's. I still listen to Far from the maddening crowd now and it sounds as fresh as a daisy.

One of the comments below their song on Youtube:

"When the words fail, music speaks".

So very true.

Chicane's music speaks, no bullsh7t verbal required.

I second that! Your youtube post has now started me off on one, I'll be listening to some more old school stuff for the rest of this evening now . Rob Dougan's Club to Death is right up there too.

It has started me off, too, Jon.

Hear this one:

What a build up and then take off!

Listening to it right now.

Cool

Got most of Chicane's stuff on vinyl. There's no better feeling than at the end of a night (6-7am) hearing Offshore fade in. Sublime.

I've not heard Nicks new album yet but will aim to get a copy soon if it's anything like his previous efforts.

Check out "Lost You Somewhere" (Heliotropic Remix) - one of his finest works from BITD for me...

Great, great music.
I would think they still play these tunes in clubs for the young'uns.

Can't believe I just used the word "tunes" on SN
