I did think about it, but at £25 each, they SHOULD raise just over £22m.

Yet only £15m is going to the British Legion....so someone is skimming nearly £8m off.....

I'd rather send the BL £25 .

Rip-off Britain...same as it ever was.

OK, mastermind.......I'll bite.

Delivery? Around £3 signed for, Special.

Making them? Well if I can buy a decorated mug with a photo/design of MY choosing printed on, then glazed over for £4.95 DELIVERED, I reckon a ceramic poppy costs maybe half that....delivered.

Evidence otherwise? Or is this another "No it isn't, No it won't, No it doesn't, squawk..." post? LOL

So £25 less vat = £20.83
Postage £3.00
Design and Production £2.00
BL £15

Profit = 83p - roughly 3.3% doesn't sound like profiteering to me...

The poppy remembers a young lad who took a bullet for you.

I am sure that he wouldn't give a flying f,uck if someone made a couple of bob.

I am more than happy to spend 25 quid on one. A signed for medium parcel is £6.75 btw.

"Each hand-made poppy planted in the moat will be available to purchase for £25.00 (+p&p) and 10% from each poppy, plus all net proceeds will be shared equally amongst six service charities."

Am I missing something as I am sure it say they are £25.00 each +P&P with 10% (or £2.50) being shared between 6 charities. Or are we reading from different pages?
