Not sure where withstanding the test of time comes into it but there are some really cool photos in there. That one with the aurora borealis is very similar to a photoset i'm using as my desktop background at the moment.

Cool photos. I've been to that last one (Argentina), and number eight - South Stack on Anglesey, lots of steps but worth the climb.

The needles is about half way down. My great aunt used to work there, we were taken to visit it probably early eighties

What amazed me was finding out how small the light-bulbs are. I thought they had these huge mega-torches spinning round, but the one I went in had a teeny bulb and the rest of the work was done with mirrors and reflectors.

Makes mine look a bit tame by comparison - my photograpy skills are clearly below par also.

Lighthouse was built around 1640.
