Default Table top

Need help to construct a table

I have a table top 140mm x 70mm 15mm thick, made of 6 solid planks, not sure what wood.

I would like to attached hairpin legs.

The concerns I have are the thickness of the table top:
How to brace it, could I use metal?
The shortness of the screws holding the legs on, thought of putting them on 10mm plates so I could use 20mm screws

Any help/guidance much appreciated

Make a rectangular frame to go underneath otherwise it will flex. Suggest you use 75mm x 15mm planks, with maybe a cross piece in the middle. Bolt legs to frame.
