Hello
I am about to join the ranks of a Scooby owner, not yet bought but will be there very soon.
Anybody live near Shrewsbury, Hi and hope to see you around, perhaps meet up and you can update me on Scooby things.
I have asked in the suppliers/3rd party forum for recommendations for servicing and that will include tyres etc, so please help me out ASAP.
In the meantime, reply to this and lets arrange some meets.
Best regards
Nev

Oh, and so far ive user Hylton Subaru dealer in shrewsbury for my service. Lats one was a biggie and they were cheapest dealer in the area. (the difference between their price and the worst price being almost £200!!)
Service etc was all good.

Hi Nuclear Pond or should I call you Paul?
I finally collected my Scooby today - MY99 T UK in sonic blue.
I am well chuffed, and absolutely loving it.
What are you driving, I haven't seen any local cars out and about today, but can't wait to join in the fun.
Let me know and will look out for you. I am on Whitchurch side of town.
By the way, Hilton were supposed to call me back on servicing costs - but haven't. Also because my car was imported from Belgium, but is still UK spec, they say they may not be able to touch it. Their loss of business, how stupid. I could understand if it was a Jap Import. So may need a good independant for a full service and cam belt. Do you know anyone?
Cheers for now

Enjoy your new Scooby, they are great fun cars; flash when you see me (you can't miss me, black STi TypeUK with Blue Neons). I'm hoping to have it in the Max power car show next year, but still loads of Mods to do.

Hylton are terrible for phoning back. Whenever I call them, 9 times out of ten service dept are "busy with customers" and will call be back. I usualy end up calling them back.
I'm in an T plate 1999 RB5. Still under extended warranty so needs a deler service relly, Plus like I said, they were cheapest dealer I called.
They are new to subaru, and seem keen, so should be OK for a while.

I use Hylton as well, fortunately i know then on a first name basis so they actually call me back. Servicing is very good, they pick up the car, deliver back, valet it and do all the other little jobs i give them free (like squeeks or melting gearbox checks <g>.
I wanted an official reversabel jacket from them (wrc) and it took 8 weeks to get me the wrong one. now WRC have changed the merchandise so i have to wait again.
I work on the basis they are like carrabean bar staff. Very slow at anything, but when they do finaly serve you, the results are very pleasing.
