i dont mean to hijack your thread guys but the SIDC have been thinking about a family day at alton towers to.
i have made some inquiries and we can get a discounted entry price of about £17.00 if we get 100 people to go .
now i dont want to tread on anybodys toes here but if you would like some help to get this off the ground then i more than happy to help arrangements and easy pay methods via the SIDC shop .
let me know your thoughts ( no rude or slag off ones please )

John - CW and Chris are the chaps up north sorting for us so best to see what they say. One thing that springs to mind is do you have enough time to sort being that its down for Aug 2nd, or are you thinking of doing one a different time? Also, re the SIDC, would it be members only and the same via the site payment?

John if you can sort anything out for Alton Towers for Sunday August 3rd then that would be great 
Chris & I will just be sorting out a little route for the Saturday and some accomadation for the 'Southerners'.
Sunday is just a 'Go to Alton Towers Day' for us so if you can arrange for a load of scoobs to meet there on Sunday and get in cheaper then that would be
