Alton Towers Weekend :-)
#1
Right, anyone up for some Midlands shenanigans? I was thinking about going up either mid-july or mid-august. Saturday we'd drive up and probably do some peak district twisties, staying near the park so we could get in early Sunday and ride till we puke .
Whadda you reckon folks?
It seemed a good idea when we talked about it last month
If we get a decent group I'll call Alton Towers to talk abt discounts and parking
Cheers

Don't forget to stop in for a coffee (hmm, more like beer I expect! ) on the way past folks.
Actually, I haven't been to Alton Towers for ages - why is it you don't go to the good places right on your doorstep? Probably russle up a few of the Staffs folks to come along for some fun if you want.

Sounds like we may be able to have a small wager on this, how about - you all choose a ride to go on and put your money where your BIG MOUTHS are and if i'm not ill then I keep all your cash???

Ok, will be in touch with AT this week and try n track down some local B&B's.
I think Nicki wants the Chocolate suite at AT's hotel though. Hmmmmmmm If we book that for Dom I'm sure the chowder will fly the next morning , perhaps and expensive way to wina bet though....

OK OK enough! (Soft southern pansy-wimmin )
Well I guess I'm gonna have to find a list of Hotels nearby and we'll book 'em on a 'first come, first served' basis.
We looking for a large, boozy Saturday night?

Just a warning guys!
I was there this Saturday, and it was heaving!
The Oblivion and the Nemesis had queues over an hour and half. Oblivion broken down three times, with people still on the ride at various points.
I went on 5 rides over the whole day! And that includes the Monorail from the car park!
I would think twice before going on a weekend again!!
The teacups are tops though!!

Well Andy, you've had time for at least 1 thought, think again and then add your name to this list!
Stoke on Trent seems a fine idea, so I guess I'll be wanting to firm up the numbers , who wants an Hotel?
