Exclamation Aftermarket Steering Wheel Users! (big favour)

Hi guys as you all know I have a Leggy but getting bits for it aren't as easy as for the Imp although a lot of pieces are interchangeable, the Aftermarket parts that are said to fit are few and far between.
This is the favour, as I have been looking for a boss that will fit my car for ages so that I can put my steering wheel on. the only one's that I can find listed for my car are these:

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Applic...d=41429-1766-C

Now ok they might fit but look like something from the 70's in fact I have the MOMO one on the Mexico!
These Items are also listed to fit the Imp so my guessing is that what should fit the Imp should fit the Leggy, But no one I speak to is willing to sell me a part that isn't listed for the Leggy and then take it back if it doesn't fit?
"I JUST WANNA FIT MY WHEEL!"

So anyway the big FAVOUR is will anybody who has an aftermarket let me try it?

Help would be muchly appreciated,

Russ!

I will hopefully have one by the time you are back but if not it would be great to see if it fits?

Cheers chap,

Firstly a big THANKS to Mr B' today for allowing me to strip down my steering in his garden (sorry for nicking ya space Jacks!) and also letting me ava poke round the beastie for clues!

My God still no luck in fitting and looks like I'm gunna have to mod and Frankenstein a Momo boss that is said to be the correct one for my car! and still not sure how I'm gunna run the horn may need to run a switch to my dash!

Take my cracked works bell one and tinker with it, you may find the design of the WB gives yiu more freedom to tweak it. You can also check out the wiring that comes with it, but the horn should be easy.

Are you back in England now then?
That would be really handy, do you still run a aftermarket?
Just seeing the way its wired up might give me a clue?

Anytime your free please mate, if you could Pm your Postcode and best time to pop round.

Ta,

Russ!

Ok now I need to say a massive THANKS to JonMc as without him my car would still look like a throw back to the 60's!

New wheel fitted!

I know the horn says TYPE R but will change that ASAP!

We finally found a Boss that would fit without loosing my indicator delete and my horn! So Pete if you wanna get a new Boss you need a Works Bell but you would need to get back all the stuff that was taken out to fit your set up?

Jon Mate on the way home stopped at that NUT&BOLT place and got some better Allen key bolts, needed to take the wheel back of anyway as it wasn't straight whilst driving, dunno how that happened as made sure wheels were straight before taking it off? also pulled the dash out to remove the air bag bulb which was handy as my MPH sticker was starting to peal off so stuck that back on JOB DONE!

Also fitted the Richbrook Gear ****! That also was a task as had to Dremel out the centre so it would fit!!!

Jon how did the drop off go hope all is well?

Cheers again Jon, I did ask if he did the Anodized Reds for you but nothing fancy just stronger and better made, was only £2 for six and he let me just take em as still had no cash on me sorted him today though! Think I'm gunna go back park car outside and just start taking and exchanging all the crappy rusty nuts for toughened steel allen key bolts!

Can't wait to see the Bug when its back! When is it due back again?
