Default My Spec-C`s 10th Birthday

Changed a few subtle bits recently and also gave it a wash too over the weekend and this is how it looks for now,

Had a set of AST`s fitted and so far all is good and to be honest they feel better than the Spec-C set up but with having the added benefit of adjustable damping, Fitted on OEM top mounts as our roads are harsh enough and i dont plan on messing with the camber etc...Also gave the strut brace a bit of satin black too.

Also gave my gold BBS alloys a lick of black as gold just didnt suit the new look
Having now removed and sold the carbon dipped GRA`s as they were on 18"s and if im totally honest they ruin the ride no end...So managed to scource another set of BBS`s exactly the same in gold...So they are off to my mates to get powder coated in black too as they have a nice new set of Toyo R1-R`s on them which will be used for the more spirited driving days and i can keep the RE070`s for normal road/winter use.....or i can have 4 spare wheels

Finished with the centre console too after sourcing another so i could butcher it for the defi controller, OEMish

Then gave the Miltek a polish

Its not looking bad for just having its 10th birthday this month

Some very nice subtle changes there Gaz, the car is looking great although a WR blue car is obviously faster.

Looks spot on gaz, can I ask what settings you have on your AST's? And who set them up for you. Just I find mine harsh on the rear and wondering if someone's played with the settings

Cheers

Cheers Steve, I got them off Brian @CAMS in Blackburn and he fitted them for me, I had them on full soft when I collected the car as I had 3 passengers but have since put them about 7 clicks harder and it feels just right at the moment not too harsh, It might depend in what spring rates you have, I'm not sure what mine are to be honest.

Cheers for the heads up, think it's time to grow a set, work out what they are set to so I can put them back and then go softest setting and have a play.

If you have extenders/adjusters on them like mine in the pic just wind them all up(anti clockwise) to full soft then just find a decent set of corners to test them as you stiffen them up bit by bit

Happy 10th Birthday Gaz's Spec C.

I'd be a happy camper if mine looks like that in 7 years time. Looks really good Gaz.

Do like where you've placed the Defi controller. Understandably, as you're probably tired of having your coffee all over the console. The rides rubbish on these cars no matter 17s or 18s.

Regards
Errol

Thanks Errol, I never used the cup holder for exactly that reason
I got Andy's old vents from his spec-c as he doesn't need it anymore and I also never thought it would make as much difference between the 17"s & 18"s, I knew the ride would get harder but it was like night and day between the sets....but hey now I have 8 BBS alloys
