My first track day @ Oulton Park :-)
Mrs blu-scoob bought me a track day at oulton park for my birthday.
I had a great time, have to admit it was a VERY steep learning curve!!
Had to share the track with some of the time attack boys which was a little unnerving but I soon got into the swing putting in what I thought were some good laps (for a first timer)
Only had one 'moment' at Hizzys Chicane where I carried a little too much speed into the corner resulting in a bit of 'sidewaysness' but luckily managed to correct it in time!!
Anhoos, didn't get many but heres a few pics.....
Track wheels on
Novice sticker in rear window
Going on track with Helen the instructor
Passing the pit lane
Tyres afterwards
Managed to melt Godspeeds black paint on my discs!!
Quick vid of me going past the pit lane. Looks really slow but in fact I'm braking from 95-100mph for the corner!!

Yeah, as it was my first time I was lucky enough to have 3 laps with an instructor. There is soooooo much to take in but it proved to be very very helpful. The line around the track is completely different to what you first imagine! The instuctors are there all day to give you advice and guidance.
Cheers. Its really good fun! Be warned though its very addictive and I'm already considering booking my next one
It was, I had a stupid grin on my face all last night
My missus said I was easy to spot on the track with that blue

Only two of them
I was too busy chatting to notice where I was putting them!! They're on correctly now!!
Suspension mods (coilies, poly bushes etc) next followed by some Brembos. Then more POWER
Oh and I'm definitely going to swap my 18" road wheels for 17s, handles so much better on 17s!

Done it once or twice Although that was only the 2nd time at Oulton. You did surprise me by moving back across but it was fine. You handled the 'off' well enough and realised I was there which was good Just as well you couldn't see this happening behind you lol
