Default Who said Impreza's aren't practical !!!

Last weekends camping trip.
Some pics if anyone's interested in using a roof rack or similar.
Couldn't be any easier to fit, took about 15 minuets to put the rack on and 5 minutes to put the box on. No whistling from either, on "A" roads or motorways.
Cost where::
£135.00 for roof rack including Aero bars (WWW Ski drive .com)
£175.00 for box (Ebay) Second hand but only used once.
£12.00 for stickers

Cheers Gonzo.

As long as you don't turn up to your first meet with that on your roof
pop over and sign up mate we are a very friendly bunch and unlike some clubs you can bring your other half & the kids with you for a spot of lunch and a cheeky half in a nice child friendly environment.

regards

Danny.

I looked through the Impreza brochure for my car and they wanted £300.00 just for the top box and it only had about 200 litres of space and it was a funney shape (very flat). When you say "just fits on" what does it fit to

We are not driving Porsche's and Ferrari's Subaru's are a 4 door car with a big boot and should be used as a normal car like every other car on the road, we just have the advantage of having a big turbo

Yep it's the Thule one, I got it from ski-drive, same as you. Got the whole lot together and collected it to double check all was good, I got the locks with the roof bars and both bike racks due to having my bike on it. Think you can have upto 4 bike racks altogether, I've used it with 2 and seems perfect for my needs.

Really easy to fit and remove the bike, takes 10seconds to put the bike on the rack, then a couple of minutes doing the clamp up and wheel ties, I also use a bungey cord for my own preference round the clamp, although it fits really nice and don't think it needs one.

States in the destructions that 70mph is the recommended top speed, and obviousley I've never tried going above that as it would be illegal.........although both bikes were still on the roof at 80-90mph on a.....ahem.....private road

Good even at 70-ish, especially at embarrassing Porsche Boxters
