Ironically, they wouldn't, the wide lo-profile tyres are useless and just ride over the snow slipping away.

Cheers for the comments, we had a local gathering earlier the same afternoon so I'd braved the weather on the Saturday and given the car a meguiars treatment

sorry lol, as im only 14 i havent had the pleasure of being in the company of a subaru .do you struggle to keep it clean? its always tempting to go off-road.

TBH, the worst bit to keep clean are the wheels, white with brake dust don't go well together.

As for the off road, not at all, it may be 4WD, but it has no ground clearance (at least not anymore) and there's no low ratio setting like you get on proper off-roaders so any sort of difficulty and you are stuck.
