Default Godspeed does some fine work

Quick long story made short

Had a awful squeal like a stuck pig stuck under my front suspension whenever I turned right and it was diagnosed as shot wheel hub/bearing etc. Got a replacement sorted and today a friend of mine fitted it. But whilst the car was getting done I had arranged a set of refurbished front 4 pot calipers from Ian@godspeed. The guy is brilliant, did me the calipers for the group buy price which included him bead blasting the calipers, painting in black, new pistons and seal kit. He sent them off to me even before the cheque had arrived and they arrived only for me to paint the lettering. Spent an evening doing that and then gave them one coat of lacquer to seal.

Here they are painted

And fitted

The squeal has gone and now I have shiny new calipers
Thanks to my mate Jim and of course Ian

I wish I could paint my letters that neat, I've tried all the tricks, rollers etc and just given up and bought some stickers instead.

You must have a steady hand.

Have you seen my girlfriend ? Hence why I have a steady hand

TBH I have tried every other trick, rollers, blocks of wood pressed on the raised letters etc but nothing comes close to doing it with a small artist brush and patience . It does help doing them off the car as well.

Stickers will not work because they are raised letters unlike the 2 pot rears that are a flat surface

I will let Ian have the final word as he sets the price but it was around the £180 mark but you do send your old ones back on an exchange basis

But brute force will, and that's all it will take to grind the letters off. The stickers are custom made to be the same dimensions as the raised letters so I'll see how I feel. Once they're on a coat of lacquer should keep them in place

Nice looking calipers you have there swiss

Anyone else wanting calipers , They are normally £195 a pair , but will keep the group buy price of £175 a pair exchange open until the end of Feb , with the exchange the calipers I am having back cannot have any damage on the castings , or any damaged threads , P&P is £15.

Regarding stickers , if you get a pair of later WRX calipers , these came from the factory with a machined flat face and stickers with Subaru on them.

Cheers Ian

How long does godspeed take to get a set out to you?

How long untill you receive them from requesting them....

Ian did a very good job of getting them out to me ASAP. I called him, he had a set in stock to refurb. They took him a few days and without even waiting until I had sent mine into him, he sent out the new refurb set. That way I could just swap them over without the car being off the road
