Default New to the forum, here's my 99 impreza RS

Hey guys I just joined scoobynet! I'm from the Montana in the United States. Figured I'd introduce myself and the story of my 99 Impreza 2.5RS so far. Sorry for the long post lol.

The day I bought it, only mods were the agx struts, prodrive springs, mudflaps and obx axleback

Painted the wheels and hood vents bronze, got some fog light covers and started my DIY work on the grille

The car came with an obx axleback. I got a borla header, cat delete pipe, and finished the catback and it sounded like this for a while

Got some jdm tails and spats and a replica Version 6 front lip

Picked up some ASA KA37 17's and some jdm corners

And now the car is currently almost done recieving a USDM 2005 wrx engine swap

Current mod list:
Engine
2005 wrx ej20
Perrin turbo inlet hose
AEM short ram intake

Suspension
KYB AGX struts
Prodrive P1 springs
Sti 20mm rear sway
Sti tophats
Perrin rear endlinks
MRT 22mm front sway for turbo xmember
Rear strut tower bar
(I had a front strut bar but it won't fit over my intercooler  )

Exterior
v6 replica lip
Jdm spats
Jdm tails
Jdm corners
fog light covers
Rally Armor mudflaps
DIY hollowed grill with RS badge
painted OEM headlights
painted side markers and turn signals
17x7.5 ASA ? wheels
215/45/17 BFG G-Force T/A KDW tires

Interior
Kartboy short shifter
OEM carbon fiber dash trim kit
Wrx pedals
Infinity Kappa rear speakers
One reupholstered suede door panel lol

Nice car brother.

Why put a WRX engine in though?? Stick an STI engine in it!!

Nice work

Also curious as to why you went for the WRX engine and not an STi? Either way it'll be a big improvement over the N/A one you had in there

Welcome mate.
I've always been extremely jealous of the 2 door models you have over there, even more so in this case. Cracking car.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I went with the wrx motor instead of the sti because it was a cheaper option. My RS motor was knocking and it had to come out so I figured why not upgrade. I couldn't afford to drop in the sti engine (I would have gone usdm ej257) and found the wrx motor for a good price with low miles. I'm really only shooting for 275 whp or so on this car anyways.

Btw, I have some seats that I picked up a long time ago and nobody on the American forum could tell me what they're from. Hopefully you guys could help?

I know they're not usdm seats and they're from a legacy of some sort. The driver's seat (if they were in a rhd car, passenger seat in a lhd car) is a power seat.

Welcome to Scoobynet.
Your RS looks really cool and I am liking the list of spec.

I think the seats are from a Subaru Legacy Spec B WR Limited

Fair enough. Would look great though with an STI intake manifold in crackle red. Just be warned that power is addictive and if you want to move up at some stage, then it will be cheaper in the long run to install an STI engine now whilst you have the opportunity. The alternative is to upgrade your WRX engine with some uprated parts.

All the best Dude

Actually we have tons of classics but unfortunately many are just basic transportation. RS25.com - The Subaru Impreza RS Owners Club is one site over here mainly dedicated to the classic scoobs. Our classics were actually sold last up to an 01 model. we got one more year than everyone else.
