95RA engine before and after
Hi,just thought i'd share my before and after pics on my 95RA. Had the car since xmas, and everything has been done on a budget.
Hope you like!
Before:
And after!:
Look at my profile for work done. The best money saving mod was the home made inlet insulators.Cost £15 and really made a difference to the manifold temp!
Also quite suprised how much of a difference the Sti V5 tmic made.

What paint did you use for the inlet manifold? looks a lot better than the usual DIY jobs you see people doing on scoobs They usually get a shiny red paint, but yours looks almost factory

Thanks,i used the VHT wrinkle paint, which can be had from Classic car restoration, kit cars and motorcycle restoration tools and equipment - Frost Auto.
Go to painting, others, its about half way down.
It helps if the manifold is hot when painting, but mine wasn't. I just followed the can. Be warned,it's very sticky stuff, and gets everywhere,so lots of ventilation needed!

Cheers Paul ,i got it from ebay, but it's only a 90 deg hose,63mm-56mm reducer with no pipes for the breathers and dump valve. I'v done a VTA breather mod,and blanked the dv off for the mo,will be routing the standard dv into the intake resonator box. So it's not a standard replacement.

Hi, Api use it on their oil pumps,so thats good enough for me! Also,VHT stands for very high temp, and is ment for engines etc. It does give a temp rating on the tin of 350 deg f.
