Polished Swiss buffs some wheels :)
A friend of mine needed some help with his white Evo wheels as they were in a bad way
and so after speaking to him yesterday late afternoon, I agreed to do his wheels for him
there and then He was round in a shot
The fun begins!
He jacked the car up and removed the D/S front wheels and really couldnt believe the wheels
are white underneath all the ground in brake dust!
So, I got to work on the first wheel, using the products from my "stash"!
I gave the inside of the wheel a good soaking with Menz Wheel & Tyre Gel
to ascertain the level of cleaning power I would need, scrubed with a
fairly course brush and then washed the exess suds and residue off
with the pressure washer. Tyres were also
done with this.
Just from that small amount of work He was shocked at the results! But I told him
I was nowhere near finished
And so out came the Meguiars Wheel Brightener and extra brushes.
Smaller ones for the intricate parts, then washed with a meguiars
Microfibre Washmitt before finally rinsing it off.
Now for the tar remover. The horrible black spots inside and around the
wheel are stubborn little...... I used Autosmart Tardis on them and
this stuff gets rid with no problems . As soon as it goes on the tar
spots start to come off! I also used it on the sticky pads
that held the old balancing weights.
Another quick rinse and it's onto the other side of the wheel.
Using the same techniques with the products, brushes
and rinsing.
I let my mate do the drying and so he gave the wheel a dry off
with a waffle weave towel, and then it was time to seal
the wheels using more pink stuff!
Poorboys Wheel Sealant in this case.Using a
good coating of it, it went all over the wheels
and buffed straight off. It is designed to keep
the brake dust etc on the surface of the wheel
so it can just be easily wiped off.
And the end results
Tyres were dressed in Blackfire Long Lasting tyre gel

Chris, you seem to have taken to this detailing malarky like a duck goes to water. Good on you I'd say.
The wheels have come up a treat. Mass, looks pleased judging by his post above.
Keep up the good work Chris, me old fruit cake
