Great example mate.
There are three or four of them near me. Nippy little things too!!
One lad claims his is running about 240bhp@250lbft . Its quick I know that. Its a white/cream colour.
Only thing that worries me with these are no ABS. Ask Mass on here. Our jaws hit the ground when the one next to us hit the brakes and the thing locked up a treat.
Anyway...enough of me going on. Enjoy the site mate and welcome to SN. Hope you find your answers.

The most amazing thing i find about the 4e-fte is standard internals are able to take 240+BHP as long as its a good tune which is nearly double the stock power

That is one cool car, I love these things, and black with the red anodised wheels, you cant go wrong with that . I never see any of these round my way (W. Sussex), which is a shame, but loads of them down in Devon where my folks are, strange really, maybe they group together .

Update - 06/10/2007
Right slight update for everyone, stripped the Exhaust Manifold, External Wastegate, CT9 turbo and the IC pipework around it plus all other little bits, CT9 Decat still in place atm but will be removed this weekend.
Turbo Off on bench, the wheels are completely seized... But appears to be plenty of oil around the system
Next Stage is Stripping all the Head down to change the stock headgasket for a Brand New Speedvision 1.2mm Multi Layered Metal Headgasket, should stand up to all the boost ill be pushing at it, also while the heads off im gonna do a complete overhaul on it replacing all seals and gaskets along with reseating the valves, cleaning the valves and porting and polishing the ports.
The first product of the new upgrade is here...
Ive got aload of parts that have already been paid for and awaiting delivery but im about to send payment for 2 of the final 3 pieces needed to complete the upgrade to the TD04 Kit, Ive finally decided im going with the top quality of Wicked EP Racing and purchasing a Mild Steel Evolution TD04 Manifold and a Stainless Steel TD04 Downpipe (braced with extra o2 sensor bung).
This upgrade is costing more than i first originally thought as theres lots of bits you dont consider but im going for top quality parts and not going for cheapo parts so this setup shouldnt hopefully cause any problems.
Will post up more updates tomorrow...
Neal - Yeah man hopefully ill be overtaking him in the GT soon after this upgrade is done
Updated - 06/10/2007
Well got quite abit done this afternoon, stripped all the Head off, cleaned all the pistons up and checked the bores etc and all looks like its brand new so really pleased.
First off removed the rocker cover
Next i removed the cams which again looked spot on.
Then stripped all the cambelt, power steering pump etc etc off
Heres afew close ups of how the pistons were when the head was removed
Old headgasket was starting to go in afew spots but was holding fine before but glad im doing it now as it would of let me down running the TD04, Removed 8 valves from the head so far but was getting abit dark so decided to call it aday there.
Managed to split everything off the head, cams, inlet manifold, injectors, fuel rail etc etc, checked out the pistons for signs of detting etc but they look spot on along with everything, so next on the list is to finish removing the valves then completely clean the head up, clean all the valves, fit new seals and gaskets throughout, then reseat the valves and port and polish the head to allow maximum flow.
Heres afew more pictures of bits...
Old Headgasket looks abit tired...
Heres some after cleaning all the carbon off the pistons, looks like there brand new now all good in my 4E
Heres hows shes sitting now (i have put some rags over the top and plenty of oil in each cylinder to stop rust etc.
Watch out for the new bits arriving!!
Many Thanks for Looking

Im awaiting on parts now which is annoying as royal mail are on strike
Should have the Head set here tomorrow so ill rebuild the head over the weekend with a multi-layered uprated 1.2mm headgasket then be awaiting on the Manifold, downpipe, turbo and the oil/water lines.
Ill be fitting my new gadget as well this weekend, a posh wideband A/F ratio gauge that reads EGT temps as well
Also a huge favor if anyone happens to have one, i need a half size civic radiator to use for a short time, dual core one would be best as i need to have a radiator on as i need to get it down to a friend to get me a custom triple copper core radiator made up with custom sizes.
Cheers

Right long time since i updated this, alittle more progress since last time but still waiting on some parts, everything has been ordered and paid for just waiting on the TD04 Manifold, Downpipe, Custom Oil + Water Lines for the turbo and afew other bits and bobs, everything should (fingers crossed) arrive by this friday.
Ive done afew bits tho, fitted my new gauges along with my new 2 gauge pillar pod, so now ive got:
Oil Temperature Gauge
Water Temperature Gauge
Wideband A/F Ratio Gauge
Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge
Also the head has been completely rebuilt now and i have ported and polished the head so it should be good to go, cleaned up afew bits under the bonnet mainly being the fuel rail so should look abit better now.
Also my TD04 Turbo Arrived which is a minter, came off a 2005 WRX scooby that had only done 6k miles and it shows its really clean so im really happy with it and got it for a bargain price
Head is back on with uprated headgasket all ready to go, just waiting on the turbo setup to arrive and then ill get it fitted, also got afew other special bits to go on but ill show them when there all on and fitted
Should be exciting stuff tho!
Heres afew pictures altho i need to get somemore of the gauges installed in the car, enjoy and comments very welcome....
Heres the TD04 13G compared to the Stock CT9 i was running, a nice difference in size
Afew bits and pieces i have
Watch this space for the final bits arriving :gt-smilie:
Cheers

Update Weekend of 10-11/11/2007
Updated - Weekend of 10-11/11/2007
Right its been a week or so since my last update, but alot has happened since i last posted, and ive had ALOT of delivery's, its like a early christmas for me apart from my bank account is getting hit hard should all be worth it tho, so to start with.
Ive now recieved most of the parts needed for the TD04 upgrade now, im now awaiting on the radiator ive ordered which will be the last piece to the on going jigsaw, also ive got to have a short section of my exhaust system remade due to not aligning up with my new downpipe for some reason
Right so onto this update, i recieved these shiney new items, the pictures dont do the manifold justice, the manifold is unbelievable, its so well made sacha at WEPR has done himself proud, the welding is spot on along with the quality of the metal, the piping is very thick and the flanges are thick plus its got a brace to make it even stronger, and fitment is easy, fits spot on and the turbo fits great, spot on Sacha and i recommend anyone to buy from him!
So ive got the Manifold and Downpipe, now i had to clock the TD04 turbo to allow for correct fitment onto the 4E engine as standard on subaru’s the TD04 turbo sits above the manifold not below like ours so the compressor housing has to be spun round to allow for the right position for fmic piping, then i had to spin the exhaust housing round to get the oil return and feed pipes to sit in the right location, was a breeze to do tho.
Only thing for anyone wanting to do it is be very careful when removing the housings not to damage any fins, you will have to drill 2 holes on the turbo as the housings have 1 locating pin each so when spining round you need to drill where you want them to sit but thats really easy.
Also after you have clocked your compressor side the actuator will no longer line up, i modified it to fit, basicly all you need to do is bend the actuator bracket slightly so one hole should line up and bolt up, then for the other hole i just used a exhaust U clamp around the outlet on the compressor housing and it holds it nice and tight, thats what ive done but your choice if your a better fabricator then make some custom brackets up but your choice.
Next up after i had clocked the turbo and was happy that its ready to go on i moved onto the manifold, at the sametime as this upgrade im installing some gauges, one of them being a EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) Gauge, the probe is being placed into runner number 1 (cylinder 1) of the manifold, so to allow it to fit i had to drill a hole, decided to place it on the bend so it wasnt right next to the cylinder so i dont burn my probe, also made sure i kept well away from any welds so i dont weaken the manifold, heres where i put the hole:
Then after finishing that off and placing the bung in ready for the probe i moved onto heat wrapping the whole manifold in high temperature heat wrap so i dont burn it off, should help keep underbonnet temps down as everythings so close together tryed my best to keep it nice and neat but its hard to wrap these manifolds Ive also heat wrapped the downpipe but cant find any pictures.
Next up after that i bolted the TD04 turbo up to the Manifold for its final sitting position preparing to fit onto the 4E!
Next it was all ready to fit onto the head, the excitment and i forgot to take pictures of the process of fitting but heres afew after i fitted it and bolted it all up, along with the EGT probe placed in and some of the engine bay tidied up, need to finally finish the vacuum hoses before i can completely tidy it up but it looks neater.
Then i fitted the HKS filter in the front bumper for the first time but then later on had to slightly adjust the location due to space for another part thats going on soon, afew pictures below of the first location.
Front Mount Intercooler piping had to be modified next, managed to do a pretty neat job, pictures are below but please ignore the bodge looking clamps was just testing out my new Mikalor clamps to see if they fit, had to do abit of cutting of the old pipe but fits pretty well now.
Now moving into the interior i had ALOT of tidying up to do, the wiring in the past was a mess so ive finally got round to tidying it all up and sitting it behind the dash properly, also fitted my double pillar pod with a oil temperature and water temperature gauge then placed my wideband + EGT temp gauge on the steering collum, the Greddy E-01 EBC is placed neatly on the dash and all linked up to my emanage which again ive tidyed up and sits nicely in there now
Wideband Lambda sensor fitted halfway down the downpipe and also my Greddy E-01 Boost solenoid fitted nicely, just recieved new vacuum hoses to keep it tidy
And heres afew shots of my gauges lit up, the ones in the pillar pod i can switch from white light to red light depending on how i feel but i like the white light theres afew random shots as well, hope you enjoyed this update its been a busy weekend but alot of fun which is what its all about!
Then tonight (Monday 12th Nov) i recieved my custom Oil + Water Lines for my TD04 and also recieved my blue vacuum hose to finish off all the vacuum lines
Please share your opinions etc
Thanks
