Default My latest Toy !!

Don't blame me it was the Mrs's idea !!!

http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=yoc5t...600&quality=70

Locost 7 fitted with a Dunnell conversions 1.8 Twin cam Zetec on twin 40 Webbers.

It drives really well, Tucks into the bends nice & tight with a drifting Twitchy **** controlled by your right Foot & Arms Off the line acceleration is V quick , Top end, well it does not really have one, but it's not about ***** out speed.

Promax Gas coilovers,Really stick Yoko AO48's, (That pepper you in gravel) Disc conversion all round, Oil cooler Etc Etc.

Im just in the process of re-trimming as it was all yellow, Too much of it, It looked like it had been dipped in custard !!, 1st & 2nd gear were dead along with the electrics when i got it, I have now sorted those, so can start to enjoy it !! Weather Permitting of course !!

Cheers

Dean

Cool,

Im gonna buy the kit and start building one of these with my 10yr old son.

He can then have it as a track toy when he is 17 and all he is allowed is a 500cc people carrier

Thanks for the comments.
You forget how involved driving really is, The classic scoob is not the most refined but it certainly knumbs alot of the experience.

With this you feel every little ripple groove & bump, You weave everywhere under hard braking as the **** end goes so light & your constantly fighting with the streering wheel whilst trying to breathe through your speed flared nostrels & Dodge the lumps of Gravel being thrown at you from the Sticky Yoko's !!

The Minister of transport should have a couple of hours in one of these to really appreciate how bad british roads are !!
It's no longer a case of maintenance but Major Repairs !! Rant over
Cheers

Just out of interest what did that set you back - ballpark if you don't want to say?

I quite fancy getting something like this for a weekend/trackday?

Hi Richard.
Prices vary quite a bit & as per normal on the car hunt front you have to wade through an absolute bunch of Cr@p, Which on the phone is in fine fettle !!

With an older crossflow engine anything from 3.5K to 4.5 Similar prices for the Ford 2.0L Pinto, Zetec engine Versions tend to be closer to & above 5K, Bike engined ones 6K & above.
Cheers
