Not if you weight it down with about 1Lb of lead bolted to the inner skin of the bootlid.....

Is it worth it John?
I seem to recall Kev (Flat4) removing the boot lifter springs and being astonished at their weight, so keep the spoiler (as you will be going so bloody fast with that engine/box) and chuck the springs.
