Default Yesterday at Bruntingthorpe

I was at Bruntingthorpe yesterday for jtuner and it was sheet ice when we arrived Considering that we were there for shootout including a top speed run this was a concern.

Here are a few photos

We did eventually run after these pictures and on the run to the start/finish a few of us span on the really thick ice playing around I was doing 60mph flat in 2nd against the lockstops for a few goes but it then went through 360 degrees and I got it back without stopping I love the way my car handles on track. All of the ice melted in the end and it was just wet and my car power oversteers mentally in the wet I love it for a 12 year old Legacy

Great pics, looks like a good day out, a bit of ice is never a bad thing (unless on the road!)

I sort of did but bottled it at 137 because I couldn't be arsed. It was still slippery and I didn't want to damage the car

Good pics, nice set-up for last one!!

Were you getting close to vmax at 137, or reckon there was more to go?? How did everyone else get on with their TSR's??

Cheers,
Grant

The car had lots to go in my opinion but I don't like pushing it that hard, somone else there in their twin turbo B4 with Bob Rawle map was seeing knock activity at 150mph and because I don't use a knocklink I just played it safe.

TSR's?

The photographer was taking some awesome pictures, mine was one of the cars used for the opening shot for the feature and he had me driving alongside a B4 with another B4 behind me in the middle and he was hanging out of the boot of his Scoob to take the photos One of the photos he does involved him hanging the camera 2" above the ground at 40mph!!!! I can't wait to see his photos

Does TSR = top speed runs, possibly?

Looks like a good day Paul. I`d love to have big open areas to slide my car around, and I fully understand not pushing the top speed in that weather too

Agree with Cliff i'd love a big open area to just play about with out fear of hitting anything.

Good looking photos Paul, you have to let me know what issue they'll be in.

It came in handy with that big spin on ice On the concrete I had the drifts going very well but Cliff knows how I drive

I don't know which issue yet, it'll be in one of the next 4 months issues.
