What made you buy one with a blown engine?[/,
it was one of those ebay bargains!,(i thought at the time) i swapped it for a 95type ra and i kept the wheels, the ra was on the hpi register (cat c) and this is ones clear,so i couldnt really resist it, all the engine work and paint has been done by friends in the trade (ive been saving favours up!!!)
the day i got it - 4 different shades of yellow and a few dents

This is the original Yellow colour code 518 (bright Yellow)
and it is one of the first typeRs and i believe it was a limited ed, called the "signature collection"

the white one was good but lacked the extras of the typeR also the issue of the cat-c write off was a little alarming,
i enjoyed putting all the extras on the ra over the 12 months i had it -but i wanted a new project and the type r fitted the bill at the time, it was newer had 2 doors and the DCCD,
also mate, the houses are in lancashire, and I hope they reminded you of good times as a student!!!
cheers,Andy
