On tour in Scotland
I spent the week up in scotland last week based in Crianlarich.
I thought i might as well enjoy the local roads while i was up there
... and also noticed some rather nice scenery
I thought you might like to see some piccies.
and one more of our scooby

I think for once we were in the right place at the right time
There was some light misty stuff, and it rained at night but other than that it was great.
Its a balancing act between concentrating on the road and occasionaly checking out the scenery. I found the best option was to pull over every now and again and have a good look.
There aint many mountains and twisties in brum

We also did a loop of the A861 on the advice of Charliewhiskey
The only downside was over £200 in petrol in one week

We travelled all over the place and only used crianlarich as a base, but where ever you go, the scenery is stunning. Most days i took the A82 over rannoch moor and glen coe. No matter how many times i travel that stretch of road i cant help but smile. I suppose it would be different in high summer when its clogged with coaches and caravans, but at this time its always fairly easy to get past. Most of these photos are from the A830 Fort William to Mallaig road and the A861 road that loops off the A830.
We also drove down numerous roads not neccessarily to get from a to b , but just for the pleasure of driving and for the scenery.
Another advantage of this time of year is the abscence of midges
