Oh dear

Wet roundabout at 20-25mph, turned in too quickly with too much right foot action, backend went to the left and then to the right, heading straight for the kerb/bank, up the kerb/bank and over a plastic/metal box thing. No one else involved thank god, but b*gger! Those rear drop links and up-rated anti-roll bar are fantastic in the dry, but they don't half make the backend twitchy in the wet!

I'm pretty sure it's a new bumper, (possible) bonnet, right wing and lights, but I'm a little worried about any damage I've done to the right suspension or under side

Watch those wet roads people!

J.

Thanks chaps.

Luckily for me I'm 'fully comp' insurance. Downside is a £500 excess, but the repair could be 4 times that much.

Tesco's have already been fantastic today so far. Repair company is picking up the Scoob on Monday and I'll have a hire-car free for 2 weeks.

Problem is ... we all know how these things start so well, and then go to rats sh*t. Fingers crossed.

I hate to see stories like this, but they are basically rally cars and rally cars get crashed so enjoy them

Just been out to check the damage again. It's not that bad. I've pushed the right front bumper mounts up and back a little, bent the right wing, cracked the bumper and dinged the bonnet a treat but the suspension mounts look OK.

At least the repair will sort out my stoned chipped bumper and bonnet

The Scoob certainly taught me a lesson today. Slower driving in the wet from now on.

J.

I've posted on the meet thread Jason. You are okay and that is the main thing, and of course nobody else was involved. I guess it could have been a lot worse with the busy roads at this time of year.

Agree with Danny B when I curbed my alloy - exactly the same thoughts. Got over it now though, after an excellent repair.

StickyMicky

I went into the roundabout too fast, too tight and just mis-judge every thing. This is only my 2nd accident in 17.5 years of driving ... of which both have been in the wet and not involved any other cars.

I may drive my Sccob with a bit of 'spirt' every now and again, but not on rain soaked roads at this time of year.

Stick to driving in the dry then Jason Sorry to hear and see the pictures, not nice, but perhaps good excuse to get some more mods thrown in with the repair bill ?
