Cheers Guys ! Those were taken with a little Canon Ixus - not the best when zoomed to it's max but it's handy to carry around.
I didn't take any shots on the special stages but do have a video (6.84MB) of some cars taking the first hairpin on stage 12 (I think it was SS12).
The video can be found here (you know the drill, right click, Save As)
The 03 Subaru Rally car didn't actually take part (at least not on the second day). Sorry but I don't know if it's the same person, I haven't followed the French Rally Championship...but after Saturday, I think I'll start
Edited to correct the video URL

Close Kenwood, it's actually Morzine which is in that region, and as you can see, very pretty. You can go skiing there and nearby in Avoriaz which is just up the road.

V-cool pics!! I go down hill biking in Les Gets, and have skied all over Morzine and Avoriaz. Have done for years absolutely superb villages.
Cord; did you get out there this year? Do you stay in Les Gets?

Texas Pete, no I haven't really done a lot of travelling in Haute Savoie - it's the other side of Geneva from me and so I tend to go into the Jura mountains more for a quick run. I should go that direction more often...previous to Saturday's little foray, I'd really only been up to Les Lindarets to get attacked by the mountain goats The roads are terrificly twisty and just perfect for the scoob

Pete, the Jura mountains are in both France and Switzerland. You'd be nearer the Alps in Les Gets but not by much. Either side promises lots of fun. If you ever get a chance to go over to the other side, head for Gex and the run up to La Col de la Faucille, in either a 911 or a scoob, smiles are guaranteed and it's only 3/4 of an hour or so from your uncle's place.

Texas Pete; No unfortunately didn't get to go this year (Girlfriend even went there without me!!!) First time in 3 years I haven't been, but am DEFINITELY going next year. I usually stay at the boomerang. Can't wait for another go on the Devil carts, they are a quality hoot. Do you mainly do downhilling when you're there?

Frenchie: cant be bothered to correct my spelling I was copying yours , Ill keep those places in mind
we always have a run out to somewhere or other.. Normally driving to mystery places only to try and find our way back .
Cord; The Boomerang is just down hill of my uncles place many a night spent there normally in the ski season though. Do you ski?
In the summer I try and do anything for a laugh; Paragliding, white water rafting, downhill. Ive not yet actually tried the Devil carts even though I intend to every time Im there.
I was quite a seriously in to cross country mountain biking a while back and love the down hill at Les Gets and I suppose am pretty good but some of the people you see around there are mental!! Do you mainly do downhilling when you're there?

Not been skiing for yeas, did my first bit of snowboarding this year tho, Whats the skiing like in Avoriaz/Morzine? I do all kinds of biking cross country, jumping, downhill, bmx but always take just the downhill bike to France. I absolutley love it there. All the purpose built tracks in Morzine/Les gets are brilliant but my fave is the Chevannes (spelling??) footpath/dried out streambed run in Les Gets. It starts just along the road from the top of the red bubble cable car, and crosses the road to the lake half way down, then finishes in the woods behind where the Alp Active hotel is. Got some photo's somewhere from the year before last I will dig 'em out and post 'em if you like. Have always fancied para -gliding/ponting (whatever it's called!!) Always see loads of people doing it in Les Gets. Now i know you have a place to stay out there i might become your new friend!!!!!
ps. You HAVE to go on the carts, but make sure you use a helmet. We got really carried away when we tried them!!!

Lol at the new friend
.
Les Gets is really really good for skiing Avoriaz and Morzine are superb as well, but I always find there a lot more busy. Normally cut through them on the way to Switzerland.
If you could post some pics of you on the downhill that would be cool sounds like you are a lot more serious than me . do you always bring your own bike over?(car or plane)
Paragliding (parapente) is superb its not as big a rush as you might expect though it quite a gentle ride. The white water rafting is a must they hold some sort of championships there its superb.

LOL Mark ! Even as I sit here in front of a keyboard I'm thinking "Damn! I've gotta get up into the mountains for a blast" so it has to be 10 times worse for you!
