Was pretty disappointing ROBO

She ran 273BHP with around 240Ib Ft torque.

The weather was just so damned hot though the temp was over 50 degrees before Dirk began the run. Should really have cancelled and gone another day. Will try it again on a decent day though.

The curves all went in the right direction with the car running real strong right to the red line, no power drop off all the way. So im sure on a good day she will run better. To be honest it doesnt matter anyway it feels strong and that is good enough for me.

Is that the only mod or have you changed the ECU etc?

I`m going for the PPP, after driving the demo car and owning an STi 7 for the last nine months, was impressed with the power increase.

Just the full exhaust including down pipe and a trust induction kit.
Must admit i think the PPP kit seems a lot of money for what you get. BUT I havent driven a car with it on, if I did it and it felt substantially different to mine my feelings might change. Maybe i wil find one to play with soon and then who knows..

Dont like the sound of them too much though

The PPP makes it feel like a different car and if you push your dealer you may get a discount on it

The trust kit has already done that to mine Sammy, even though the figures didnt show it.
Just need to find one to have a play against and then I will bow down and agree with everything you guys tell me haha

Try and get a test drive, admit a lot louder than standard, but a lot quieter than my HKS of old.
Although it sounds a lot, if you do it on your own it can cost just as much, i tuned my MY 98, link ecu, bob rawle remap, HKS full system, believe me bill mounts up.
PPP full warranty and on a 27 grand car, got to be done.
Anyways enjoy the grin factor

Get it up to Cumbria mate, the roads are so twisty up here that a few BHP here or there wont make no odds, you`d just be grinning ear to ear trying to stay on the road.

Don't be too dissapointed with the power figures, Powerstation are notorious for getting low figures on their dyno. It seems to read 30bhp lower than Power engineering.

Wouldnt get too worried Gary . As others have mentioned the powerstation rollers are reserved to say the least....... even more so if it was 'kin hot, as cooling isnt there strength with a small fan etc

The last dyno day I did at the Powerstation there were about 5-6 STI7 all with PPP that all struggled to get over 250bhp/260lbft, if I remember

My Verion 5 Type R is reasonably well modded and only showed 302bhp (240@wheels)/280lbft, however if you look at the other listings on dynomite scoobies there isnt much thats recorded more than that, so its all relative I guess.........

Thanks for the comments guys.

It seems to be the general concensous that their figures are down on other places. Seems very odd to me.

Think I will start a thread asking if anyone has tested a PPP STI at power station.
