Top Speed Pics!

I had a opportunity this past weekend to push the MY02 top speed personal best of 145mph+ on some nice country side back roads.
Some other additional pics of our road trip to the Hill Country of Texas...
Any other members with pics of their Maxout speedo???

Cool pics.
I was in Dallas last year to visit my then US girlfriend. She'd never heard of a Subaru Impreza and the two weeks that I spent there I never saw one
I know you have some good roads there - have fun!

Please please tell me what that rear spoiler is on the blue WRX above? And where it was purchased from? It looks a thing of beauty.

I believe it's a Aqua body kit w/rear spoiler.
I'll let the owner of the car explain in to further detail shortly...
Here are some more pics of the inquiring car!

That is gorgeous!!
Really like the stark contrast between the black and the blue at the front...
Very very nice, and good to see some great Scoobs on the other side of the 'pond'
Cheers

Yeah the kit on that motah looks the biz! The hoodscoop seems like a good idea for FMIC cars... probably adds 10MPH to the top speed and 10MPG to economy from the reduction in drag

That WRX is the best looking one Ive ever seen. I must admit that nearly all of the yank modded cars posted on here look the dogs danglies. We need to get some peeps over here with these kits on.

Great looking cars!
The piccies bring back some memories as I lived in Houston (well actually The Woodlands) for 3 yrs. Often went to the Hill Country for some weekends away, and to find the odd road with a bend in it
The only Scoobys I saw out there was the odd 2.5 RS, but that was before the WRX's were available.
The 5-drs seem pretty popular from the group photo.

drumsterphil & lunchie,
Texas has its fair share of Scoobys. With the ever increasing popularity of the WRX release, we manage to always get a great turnout to out bi-annual State Meet!.
Cheers,

MRK_IV, Very nice speedo!
I may have a possibility with a few more mods., 160 is awesome for your Vdub Golf!
Although the speed is govern (fuel cut-off) at around 140MPH+-, I may have to find other means to get around it.

It's just the normal WR Blue Pearl that came from the factory.
For that particular picture, the color may look slightly different due to the way it was digitally processed.
I've had film pictures taken of it that look different than other WR Blue Pearl examples, but I usually attribute it to the lighting and sky and surroundings and such.
My favorite pic to date was taken at White Rock Lake near downtown Dallas. The car seemed to pic up some of the blue color from the water quite nicely.
