Chris, what engine have you got in there? I don't recognise the shape of the bonnet, is it a custom one?

Not sure what bonnet it is was on the car when i brought it.It's got a 280bhp Cosworth green top engine in it goes very well now but was a bit of a dog when i got it just got to get a new rad as it runs hot on the track, then i think will have to do brakes god it never stops when you get into track days bloody good fun though.

*sigh* everyone's a comedian

I'm planning to wash it (and the Scooby) tomorrow, so I'll take some more pics then.

It's a great engine and I've had 2 of these. Just watch the water carefully because if you see white gunk in there then the cylinder head oil galleries have gone pourous. It was a common problem on later units circa 1990-93ish.

I have the cure as well!

Cheers

If you have the COSCAST Head on the C20XE Engine then you shouldn't suffer any porus head problems.

Thanks - I know a bit about the porous head problems, because there's a chap on the WSCC bbs (DAZ 4) with an identical car who has them. If you know how to fix them, I'm sure he'd appreciate a call!

For all its faults, at least my car's coolant remains clean for now - I just need to get the distributor replaced (probably by a 3D ignition system) and the battery/starter problem sorted...

Cheers
Andy.

Tell DAZ4 to talk to Paul at Headway in Wales 01938 554858.

Mind you it's a while since I have spoken to him but give it a go anyway.
