JDM V8 STi ECU swap to 2001 WRX
Hi,
I am trying to figure out what ECU terminals(pins) needs to be swapped when using V8 JDM STi ecu with 2001 EDM WRX harness. Fuel pump wont prime so its a no go. Engine harness is a JDM version and AVCS wiring has been done.
Please help.

I just cant get it working. No life from fuel pump. My old ecu had A4SE900D(bugeye edm wrx) baserom.
I noticed something interesting when swapping the terminals(pins). D15 <-> D16 swap made my check engine light working.. so no fuel pump related stuff there? A/C switch is working and the current terminal is A2. I tried to look at the wire colors, should they be the same between different year models?
Someone must have been made this swap before? Help.

I got everything else working but the speedo meter. P0502
Should it be A1, Green Yellow wire? This is how I have connected mine. What else could be causing this P0502 CEL?
Thanks!

P0502 is Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Low Input, which can cause faulty speed sensor and if you are swap EDM ECU for JDM ECU,JDM STi V8 usually have DCCD,which can cause this error or can be just the sensor, try clean the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) and is ABS light on too?

A JDM WRX has VVT. That wiring diagram does not so not JDM.
I have the JDM wiring diagrams ... trouble is they are all in Japanese !
Been trying to symbol match it to the European one, lots of differences, including the two zero ohm link sets on the pcb itself.
cheers

ABS is working(no light) but I have a switch to turn it off when I want to. I already cleaned and sprayed with contact cleaner the VSS connector. I also checked the sensor if it looks like damaged. Still in one piece though. Are you saying that I should remove it and clean it better? How do you remove VSS? Does the sensor have threads?

Jura: Yes I have checked the wiring diagram and everything is wired correctly. I still have to check the VSS.
I have a new problem. Something is cutting fuel pump and main relay power while driving. Car just suddenly stalls. Fuel pump is not priming and I am not able to connect to the ECU. After waiting a while or maybe reconnecting ECU connectors(not sure if this really helps) I am able to start the car and get back to road. This new problem is annoying as hell. If the car stalls in wrong place you could kill yourself because of it dangerous
Maybe faulty ECU?
edit.
Car does not have a alarm system
