Hi all,

I was hoping someone could help me.

Im am in the RAF and have been posted to Germany. The problem is I need continental headlights to BFG the car.

I spoke to subaru and they want alot of money for xenon headlights.

I own a Subaru Impreza R-sport 2007.

If I dont sort this I will be selling the car!

Please help.

Does it have Xenons on now? If so, yes, you are screwed. VERY unlikley to come across any.

If it's not xenons now, you could try any European breakers, or European e-bay for some LHD lights.

But as a member of the armed forces, do you HAVE to change? Can't you tax it in the UK and use adpators while over there?

yes it does have xenons.

You are not aloud to BFG your car here or bring it on base unless you get it done, otherwise that is what I would have done. I really have been looking everywhere for some?

I would say it's dealer then, so yes, you are screwed.

Edited to say:

UNLESS you can take one out, look at the manufacturer/any code numbers and contact the retrofit source in the USA, tell them you need them for LHD, they MAY sell you a pair or projectors to go.

And it will be FAR cheaper than dealers.

I tried what you sugested but could'nt seem to find anything from typing that in, however I came across these and was wondering if you could tell me if these would fit.

I'd say yes, they look like the ones to fit your model, but I'm no expert, I just know a bit about wiring and that.

With P&P you're into $430, expect to get a tax hit of maybe 20% on top of that here in the UK and afurther hit from DHL for UK delivery........what you pay for only gets them as far as the UK port, apparently.

So potentially $516 plus whatever DHL add on.......

Still cheaper than Europe would be my guess. Around £315 by my converter.
