Default Battery Woes.

Hi all,

I am a newbie scooby owner and have a hawkeye 2007 Wrx Sti PPP. I use it mainly at weekends. After 2 months of ownership I have a flat battery! What would the best bet be? To get a charger to leave it charging overnight a couple of nights a week or get a new Heavier duty battery??

Thanks in advance.

Just having the same problem with my Impreza. Lack of use has now lunched an Optima Red Top battery. I think a lot of people that lay their cars up for long periods disconnect the battery and run a trickle charger.

Have a STi in the garage which I don't use much. Been through a few batteries and ended up buying an Excide Premium +++ battery which has a 64ah rating. I have recently bought a CTEK Multi charger which has a maintenance mode built in, and have just connected this up to the battery with it still fitted to the car. The charger is an intelligent charger so will only charge the battery after it's reached 75% seems to work for me
