Depends on the price: the Halfords ones WERE BOGOF, and as such, the others aren't THAT much better.

Both are a quality product.

Cue: Bob5 to tell you about his HID kits................

ok, i have a trade card anyway so are about 12 quid each, so purely on performance are they very similar? my girlfriend put some in her mini and they seem pretty good.

I'd stick with Halfords, mate, they are made by GE, and don't have a daft blue tint, which just cuts down the light output

Best H4 I have come across so far and I think I have tested most, are Generel Electric +60%.
I have recently tested HIDs on a friends car (UK 2000) with an after market set. The HIDs had very good dip beam and very clear cut off. On full beam there was a lot of light scatter so although there was a lot of illumination it was not concentrated in a direct beam. Reflection from road signs was unbelievable to the point of being unacceptable.
