Mechanic broke my electrics!!

Mechanic broke my electrics!!
Hey all, A few months ago this guy (recommended by my mum - NEVER AGAIN) serviced my car. Whilst doing so he managed to bu55er up the stereo (which cost me 20quid to decode) and break the screenwasher.
I now can't drive my car long distances in cr4p weather as I can't see out the bl00dy windscreen and I know it will fail the MOT as well.
Trouble is, no-one seems to know how to fix it!! Any tips on what I can do to get my screenwash working again - involving as little cost as possible!!??

It's not working at all. Yes, I'm a blonde female, but I have had the sense to fill it up with screenwash!!! My windscreen wipers work fine, but when I pull the stick thing towards me to wash the windscreen, the wipers move but no water comes out, even when there is water in there! Hope that is more helpful!

Hello blonde female
Right: it could be............
1. Connection off the pump wiring.
2. Broken/burnt out pump motor.
3. Blocked pump.
4. Blocked nozzles.
5. Displaced pipework off pump/to nozzles. Amongst other things.
I'd suggest you get someone who knows a bit about electrics to have a look for you, unless you are happy doing it yourself?
If you're anywhere near Scunny, PM me. And NO..........no shark music

No I can't hear the pump working. I think it's to do with the electrics to be honest, as it stopped working at the same time as my stereo, which all stuffed up when the stupid mechanic, who obviously knows sod all about imprezas, serviced my car!!

i assume you have checked the fuses under the steering column (well slightly to the right of it) incase any of the fuses have blown. If not pull them one at a time (putting them back as you go) to see if you have a blown one in there somewhere.Failing that make sure that the connector on the washer pump is clicked in place, might be worth unplugging it and cleaning the terminals aswell

how does checking the brakes, changing oil/filter, brake fluid, coolant, air filter, fuel filter plugs etc and finally topping up your washer bottle cause stuff to fail exactly.
check fuses first, then pull off wiring to pump, get mulitimeter and get someone to operate the stalk to see if its gettin its 12volts supply. this will tell you if its at fault etc.

Thanks for the help everyone! Really appreciate it. I will get my other half to do the checking as I don't really have a clue what i'm doing!!
I didn't call the mechanic back because I didn't dare let him near my car for a second time!
Sorry for saying "i'm not stupid." I checked earlier to see if there was a little button on the end and there was (I thought there wasn't - it still didn't work though!). I swallow my words with dignity and apologise profusely! Sorry if I offended anybody!
Cheers guys xxx
