Thinking about getting a GPS based 'hazard' warning device. Any opinions on the best one ??
Road Angel ?
Snooper S6 Neo ?
Origin Blue ?
Any pros and cons of each ?
Any advice appreciated
Thanks,

Road Angel is fine - may be selling mine if you are interested.
Just bought a Hand Held PDA based Sat Nav with Tom Tom software. Been able to download the Truvelo, Traffic Light Camera, SPECS and Gatso databases for free and put them on as overlays. Installed IPoint for free and now get 2 voice warnings prior to the "hazard" set at times I specify (30sec and 10 sec as default). The voice warning tells me the speed limit on the road and best of all, through SPECS (and there bloody loads of them in Nottingham) it maintains my average speed on screen while I am going through the zone. Best bit it costs about the same as Road Angel - ho hum!

Thanks guys. Went for the B2 in the end. Seemed the best all round for the money.
If anyone is thinking about one, check out these guys. Cheapest by a long way, and the stuff arrived next day by Securicor (for 6 quid !).
In car express
Cheers

Kart man
I'm also looking for one, but leaning to the Snooper S6R coz it does radar as well.
The B2 looks better, but what else made you pick that one ?
Cheers for any info

There were a few features the B2 has, that the NEO doesn't seem to have :
I've already got a snooper detector, and often switch it off as it gets triggered by so many different things !!! Consequently I'm not buying for the detecting so much as the GPS features.
The B2 was also marginally cheaper, although I'm not sure how long the 'free' subscription period lasts yet !

Alerts for Congestion Charging Cameras (time sensitive) & schools (time sensitive) (alerts may be switched off by user)
Alerts for user defined, personal locations (I imagine NEO has this but didn't see it listed)
Unit ready for optional laser diffuser
Personal overspeed warnings
Driver Information System - displays distance covered, journey time and average speed
GPS NMEA output (optional lead required) so unit may be used in conjunction with PDA/mapping software to provide cheap navigation solution

Thanks for that - very helpful
I quite liked the idea of putting the laser/radar detector by the number plate with the S6, but then it only looks forward. A laser beam may be narrow, but I can't see how the beam can only touch the number plate - if mr plod is half a mile away, it must wander around the car and should get picked up by the detector. Also the B2 one has rear facing detector as well - how effective it is I don't know but would feel better with some front and back cover.
I particularly wanted the GPS output for nav use later, but decided I would have to manage without it.
Thanks for the input - maybe B2 for me now also.
Cheers
