Alcazar - do you mean don't do the bulb Wattage/wiring upgrade ?
Have you any experience of the Autolamps H4 hylow HID/xenon conversion to the origional fittment reflectors on my P1.
I already have the H4 vision plus bulbs, which are an improvement.

Mine is a 'bug-eyed' Impreza but with Pro-Drive headlamp conversion (sadly not the gas discharge units, which I was told was not available due to 'type approval' problems). Problem is, night vision is crap! Any body suggest an improvement?

I've just brought the Autolamp HID kit for my classic and can say they had a MASSIVE improvment. Have to adjust the dipped down a bit other wise you blind people. Look very cool aswell

Has anyone fitted the autolamp H4 HID upgrade to the origional fittment lights on a classic/P1 ?
I'm very interested in doing this, and don't want to change to morrettes unless I have too.
Reading "another thread" would I be better to replace the wiring and relays and use 100/130W H4 bulbs ?

OK I have fitted the Philips HID XENON up grade to my MY01 tonight & I have to say its excellent piece of kit
The build quality is excellent & the easy of fit is superb !
The light out put looks very white on the 4100K kit I have & there seems to be a lot of light out put as well
I am off to try them out in normal driving conditions now & will let you know the findings
The kits are available for all applications & are plug & play

Neillarke: personally, I wouldn't go this route. You could end up overheating the reflectors, and the bulbs tend to be very expensive and have a short life.
Preferred option is a genuine BiXenon kit from Autolamps, and next is the Philips Vision Plus bulb.
However, there's a LOT of diference between the two apart from price!
