Am I worrrying for nothing?
#1
Left lights on this morning, car now at station, me now at work.
Does not sound to hot, I know.
Anyway, I have a sort of feeling that whether you leave your lights on or not, when you turn the ingnition of and remove the key, any lights that you may have left on, go out. By the way MY99 classic.
Am I correct?
If not, why on earth did they no put an alarm on the car to warn idiots like me?
Can anyone either confirm my worries or put me out of my misery?

Lights will switch off themselves, when the ignition is off - except if you push the button on top of the steering coloum (parking light).
Hope this stops your worry

If your battery is flat i.e. Parking light on. Don't jump start it.
This can blow the cat as unburnt fuel is ignited in the exhaust system.
You'll need to start it with jump leads to avoid causing any damage.
