Default Gearchange When?

Hi folks a simple question Im sure some of you will have an answer for.
Is it better to rev a Subaru right out or pull the next gear on boost lower down.
Paul etc do you rev the car right out on the drag strip or fire gears at her lower down?

My S1 RS Turbo could pull really strong changing up around 4500 instead of taking it right out to the limiter.

well reving the car all the way out ( not hitting the limiter ) will probably drop it into the next gear at a better bhp u should get ur car rolling roaded then u ll be able to look at the graph.and see wot suits ur car

me personally i change at 6500 rpm ( and for launchs i would give it hard blips between 3000 - 4000 to get the boost up.any more just seems abusive

Torque will drop off steeply after 5500-6000 revs so thats an ideal time to stick another gear to her
