Nice job Jonny....kinda wish I had got my high's done at the same time as my dipped, and the LED sides clean up the whole look of the car IMHO

Why dont they factory fit these popular bits of kit?

Same with splitters.........

best light about, passed mot, only diff with the kit is ordinary lens lights, ie the classics, bugs get off with it because they are projector lights on lows, no scatter, as the classics need the glass lens to spread the light

Nope, mine are from HID Direct2U I believe, got the kit when I bought the car, guy selling just hadnt fitted em...then got the LED's from Halfrauds !

Mines the 6000k set, wouldnt advise going any "bluer" as they can look tacky

Thanks,

I'm probably gonna order from Bob, just waiting for a bit before I do.
I don't fancy installing myself, so I got a price from Greenaway Auto Electrics in Belfast for installing.
They said 1.5 hours should cover it.

They also do their own kits, but I don't know anything about them though.

I'm going to go for the 4300K set.

How much are these LED's then?
And excuse the thicko, but are these just brighter side lights then?

Shaun

The LED side lights are made up of around 4 seperate bulbs. They give off a very similar light to the HID kits, not the usual factory "yellow" type light. You should pay no more than £5 for the pair from most high street retailers, Halfords or motor factor stores...beware though that you buy the "white" specification of bulb...do not be tempted by the blue ones, as they are very blue and will likely see you pulled over for using them on the road by the police...

The 4300k set up is mid spec, the higher the K rating the bluer the bulbs become, for example

1000k off white/yellow
2000k white
4300k bright white/blue tinge
6000k bright white/definate blue
8000k blue/white
1000k purple tinted

The 4300k and 6000k are perfect as replacement bulbs, as they give off a near factory HID glow and remain well legal

Hope that helps fella!

The pics also shows what a difference the £5 LED sidelights make if you scroll down a bit!
