What is the distance between Dublin and Cork?

A cousin of mine is Ireland bound in a couple of weeks time. As per the question, also how long should it take by road and what sort of roads are they?? (And don't say long and black

!!!)

From memory the roads are reasonable and should take you about 3.5 hrs.

I have done it in 3 hours....roads aint bad plus the new bypass has opened at Kildare so this has knocked a bit of time off...it is about 150 to 160 miles
